Service Technician – Overlook at Bernardo Heights

About the role

The Service Technician ensures that the physical components of the Overlook at Bernardo Heights community—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience; property‑management or construction experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to work the Tuesday‑Saturday schedule, 9 am‑6 pm, with on‑call duties as needed.
• Eligibility for a 20% housing discount.
