SEO Lead

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an SEO Lead to own the organic search strategy and technical SEO infrastructure across its web properties, including claude.ai, docs.anthropic.com, and anthropic.com. This high‑impact, hands‑on role sits at the intersection of marketing, engineering, and data, driving site experimentation, conversion optimization, and strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical SEO roadmap for all Anthropic domains.
• Implement and maintain sitemaps, JSON‑LD structured data, canonical tags, redirects, and robots.txt.
• Optimize site speed, mobile performance, and Core Web Vitals across marketing and documentation sites.
• Monitor crawl efficiency, indexing status, and search performance using Google Search Console and log‑file analysis.
• Build SEO observability with automated alerts for technical issues.
• Develop an SEO playbook for international expansion, including hreflang and localized content.
• Partner with product marketing, developer relations, and engineering to create a content roadmap that boosts organic discovery.
• Integrate SEO best practices into content management and documentation workflows, including AI‑driven search experiences.
