Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

About the role

Episode Six is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to lead testing initiatives across payments, card issuing, and revolving credit products. You will work with a global fintech team to ensure high‑quality releases for major banks, airlines, and innovative fintech clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead testing efforts in the payments, card issuing and revolving credit domain.
• Review requirements, specifications and design documents, providing timely feedback.
• Create detailed test plans and JUnit 5 test cases.
• Design, develop and execute automation code.
• Identify, record, document and track bugs, and perform regression testing.
• Develop testing processes for new and existing products and track QA metrics.
• Stay up‑to‑date with testing tools, strategies and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate technical information effectively to team members and customers.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java and the JUnit test framework.
• Proven experience testing within the payments and card industry.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and techniques relevant to fintech.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry‑specific protocols.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar domains and acquire new knowledge.
