Senior Site Development Engineer

About the role

As a Professional Engineer for Site Development at Horrocks, you will lead a variety of civil infrastructure projects from concept through construction, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project work plans, scopes, and fee proposals while monitoring schedules and budgets.
• Prepare roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Produce technical memoranda, design plans, specifications, and reports; manage quality assurance for all deliverables.
• Generate construction cost models, cost estimates, and engineer opinions of probable cost throughout project phases.
• Coordinate construction observation, contractor liaison, and multidisciplinary project pursuits with practice leaders.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering with PE licensure (or ability to obtain within one year).
• 10‑15 years of progressive civil design experience, including drainage, utility, roadway, and development design.
• Proven project management, staff supervision, and client communication skills.

Required skills

• AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, Urban Drainage and Flood Control software.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with drainage and utility reports, and familiarity with municipal, state, and federal regulations.
