Senior Scientific Director – Oncology (Solid Tumor)

About the role

Lockwood is seeking a Senior Scientific Director to lead oncology (solid tumor) scientific content for its clients. The role involves planning, developing, and overseeing scientific deliverables across assigned accounts, ensuring scientific rigor and strategic alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assigned accounts and manage client interactions and brand strategy.
• Direct the scientific component of brand planning and business development initiatives.
• Allocate resources, partner with client services to create statements of work and timelines.
• Identify opportunities for new and organic growth across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Oversee the creation of promotional medical education materials such as advisory boards, speaker programs, and slide decks.

Required profile

• Advanced scientific degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD).
• 10+ years of experience developing promotional medical education content.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proven capability to analyze and interpret scientific data and manage projects under tight deadlines with limited direction.
• Experience with professional medical editorial processes (e.g., AMA style) and adherence to ethical guidelines.
• Demonstrated oncology expertise; GI/GU experience is a plus.
