Senior Purchasing Manager – Non-Food

About the role

The Senior Purchasing Manager, Non-Food leads procurement for Eataly’s North American retail and e‑commerce operations. You will shape the Home & Kitchen, tabletop, culinary lifestyle and gifting assortments, ensuring quality, authenticity and value while driving cost efficiencies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end sourcing, vendor selection, pricing negotiations and inventory planning for all non‑food categories.
• Develop and execute category strategy, including seasonal planning, SKU rationalisation and margin optimisation.
• Build and manage relationships with domestic and international suppliers, with a focus on Italian and specialty vendors.
• Collaborate with Store Operations, Ecommerce, Marketing, Finance, Visual Merchandising and Demand Planning to forecast demand and support execution across channels.
• Support new store openings by defining assortment plans, coordinating procurement and distribution.
• Monitor inventory levels, replenishment and markdown exposure in partnership with Finance and Business Analyst teams.
• Work with Supply Chain, Warehouse and Logistics to ensure timely distribution and operational compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior purchasing or category management for non‑food retail or e‑commerce.
• Strong understanding of Home & Kitchen, tabletop, gifting and culinary lifestyle markets.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, pricing and payment terms to achieve cost savings.
• Excellent supplier relationship management and ability to work with international partners.
• Analytical mindset with experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning and margin analysis.
• Effective collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams.
