Senior Project Manager – Virtual or Houston

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead day‑to‑day execution of large‑scale enterprise transformation initiatives for a Fortune 50 energy client. Working virtually or from Houston, you will coordinate cross‑functional teams, drive governance, and ensure projects stay on schedule and transition smoothly into steady‑state operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, defining deliverables, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria across all workstreams.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities, align stakeholders, and drive cohesive progress.
• Facilitate governance routines, including project meetings, steering committee updates, and decision‑alignment sessions.
• Manage meeting logistics: scheduling, agenda preparation, note capture, and action‑item tracking.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; establish mitigation plans and escalate when necessary.
• Produce structured status reporting – dashboards, milestone tracking, risk logs, and leadership summaries.
• Maintain project documentation such as charters, RAID logs, decision logs, change control records, and look‑ahead agendas.
• Support cutover, hypercare, and stabilization planning to ensure smooth transition to steady‑state operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, preferably in large‑scale transformation or enterprise technology programs.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑workstream project plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience supporting cutover, hypercare, and operational readiness activities.
