Senior Project Architect / Designer – Luxury Residential

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Architect / Designer to lead our luxury residential projects in California, collaborating closely with our New York studio. The role combines design leadership, client liaison, and project coordination to deliver high‑end homes that reflect our standards of craftsmanship and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of single‑family homes, townhouses and condos from concept through construction administration.
• Develop and present design proposals, manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including interior designers, consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance and architectural quality.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, fostering strong relationships and guiding them through the design process.
• Mentor junior staff, uphold design excellence and contribute to firm‑wide standards, policies and procedures.
• Assist in business development by marketing the Project Development Group and identifying new opportunities in the California market.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in residential architecture and high‑end design.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects from schematic design to construction.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to collaborate with interior designers and consultants.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior architects and designers.
• Licensed architect or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
