Senior Mechanical Engineer (Remote – Houston, TX)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and validation of mobile mechanical systems used in drilling, completions, well intervention, and field operations. This remote role, based in the Houston metropolitan area, offers the chance to work on high‑performance equipment that operates under extreme pressure, load, and cycle conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer mobile mechanical systems for oil and gas applications, including hydraulic equipment, lifting systems, and field‑service machinery.
• Optimize reliability and efficiency for high‑pressure, high‑load, and high‑cycle environments.
• Create detailed CAD models and drawings using Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Prototype, test, and validate equipment to meet API, ASME, and internal quality standards.
• Diagnose field issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and field teams to deliver robust, field‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in mechanical design for oil & gas or heavy industrial equipment.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through deployment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
