Senior Development Engineer – Automotive Infotainment

About the role

Robert Bosch LLC is seeking senior development engineers to lead product and process initiatives for automotive infotainment systems at its Anderson, SC facility. You will act as the primary owner for product issues, manage crisis task forces, and serve as the key interface between the plant and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product ownership for testing, software download, and First Pass Yield (FPY) performance.
• Coordinate plant‑development issue resolution for hardware and software topics.
• Transfer new product knowledge from development centers to the plant during industrialization.
• Conduct technical training for production line staff and debug engineers.
• Analyze fall‑out rates, perform failure analysis, and drive root‑cause elimination.
• Provide technical risk assessments, support quality investigations, and define diagnostic tools.
• Lead cost‑reduction and scrap (IDC) reduction projects, automating engineering solutions where possible.
• Support line station buy‑off, line release, and preparation of technical presentations for management and customers.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in automotive infotainment product development.
• Proven ability to manage crisis situations and lead cross‑functional task forces.
• Strong background in hardware and software integration, testing, and industrialization.
• Experience delivering technical training and supporting quality assurance activities.
• Demonstrated track record in cost‑reduction and scrap‑reduction initiatives.
