Senior Manager, US Donation Management

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a Senior Manager to lead US Donation Management and Allocation. You will ensure high‑quality capture of donor intent, accurate fundraising attribution, and timely programmatic allocation for all private gifts received in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure gift processing and record‑keeping comply with global financial, legal, credit‑card, and IRC internal audit standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of donor data, partnering with IT/Finance to achieve PCI compliance.
• Oversee fund‑raiser support cases, ensuring proper delegation and completion.
• Design and improve workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy of data flow between internal systems and third‑party sites.
• Drive continuous data‑quality improvements for real‑time decision making and performance monitoring.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of donations from external platforms and manage vendor relationships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Establish and communicate clear gift‑processing guidelines for timely entry into the fundraising database.
• Collaborate with fundraising partners to align business rules with strategy.
• Partner with Finance (Global Controllership) as BizOps lead on strategic projects related to donor intent capture and allocation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in donation processing, financial compliance, and data quality management.
• Strong understanding of PCI compliance and donor data security.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and third‑party platforms.
• Leadership experience supervising a small team and promoting professional development.
• Excellent collaboration skills with finance, IT, and fundraising stakeholders.
