About the role
InsCipher is seeking a detail‑oriented Tax Analyst to join its remote team. Reporting to the Filing Services Team Lead, you will handle surplus lines tax filings, reports, and reconciliations for multiple states while providing excellent client service.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit state regulatory surplus lines tax filings on a timely basis.
- Reconcile filings with the InsCipher Connect platform and state transaction reports, investigating any discrepancies.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of surplus lines tax regulations and conduct research to ensure compliance.
- Document all client and state correspondence accurately.
- Assist with quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual state reports and support audit activities.
- Collaborate with accounting, monitor reports, and help direct team members to meet compliance standards.
- Support the Team Lead with ad‑hoc requests and project work.
Required profile
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of filing experience or 3+ years in accounting, compliance, or insurance.
- Knowledge of surplus lines tax regulations is a plus.
Required skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
