Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, integration, and testing of automatic flight control systems for optionally piloted and unmanned aircraft. The role combines hands‑on hardware work with system‑level architecture in a collaborative aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and integration for flight‑control hardware and related subsystems.
• Develop electrical architectures, wiring diagrams, harness concepts, and interface control documents.
• Define, review, and verify electrical interface requirements across hardware, software, and system boundaries.
• Select and integrate avionics, sensors, actuators, compute platforms, and power systems.
• Build, troubleshoot, and validate prototype assemblies and flight‑critical hardware.
• Support lab planning, bench testing, integration testing, and flight‑test preparation.
• Diagnose faults, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Collaborate with systems, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and flight‑test teams.
• Contribute to configuration management, documentation, and design assurance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, integration, and test.
• Experience with avionics, embedded systems, or high‑reliability hardware.
• Strong understanding of electrical interfaces, power distribution, signal integrity, and wiring practices.
• Hands‑on debugging of complex hardware in lab and integration environments.
• Ability to read and produce schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documents.
