Senior Bridge Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to lead the design and analysis of highway bridges for local, state, and federal agencies. The role combines technical expertise with client relationship management to deliver high‑quality, durable infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridges using industry‑standard codes.
• Prepare design documents, quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Collaborate with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on schedule and within budget.
• Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite‑element software, and specialized bridge tools.
• Design multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, including wall systems and minor structures.
• Maintain client relationships, ensure satisfaction, and meet project objectives.
• Lead regional transportation and structural engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus); PE and SE licensure required.
• 12+ years of bridge design experience.
• Willingness to travel locally or work with other offices.
• Experience with design‑build and alternative delivery methods is a plus.
• Established relationships with local clients (e.g., WSDOT/ITD) are advantageous.
