Senior Actuary

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund is seeking a Senior Actuary to join its Data Analysis Unit in New York. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive of Pension Administration, the role supports the Fund’s solvency management and statistical analysis activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and direct the unit’s work programme on statistical analysis and methodological development, providing technical and managerial supervision.
• Initiate, plan and oversee preparation of Fund‑wide data reports, publications and communications related to solvency and actuarial issues.
• Provide technical advisory support to senior leadership on solvency risk and represent Pension Administration in asset‑liability management studies.
• Supervise and develop new or improved statistical methods and quantitative models for analyses and projects.
• Prepare progress reports and technical documentation for presentation to the Pension Board and relevant committees.
