Senior Accountant - Madison, NJ

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Regional Controllers Accounting team. The ideal candidate is proactive, self‑motivated, and driven—someone who consistently sets a high standard for performance and deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure journal entry submissions are accurate, compliant with internal policies and GAAP.
• Coordinate with departments to obtain support for timely journal entries.
• Review monthly account reconciliations for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and analysis for key accounts.
• Lead month‑end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and communicate recommendations to senior management.
• Respond to ad‑hoc initiatives, special projects, and prepare analytical reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Oracle accounting system.
• BlackLine reconciliation tool.
• Microsoft Excel (advanced).
