Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist

About the role

As a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist you will ensure H&R Block tax offices are ready for the busy season. You will perform hands‑on maintenance, supply delivery, and basic IT setup across multiple locations, working closely with field leadership to meet brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, cleaning HVAC vents, and minor low‑voltage electrical work.
• Deliver supplies and materials to tax office locations in a timely, organized manner.
• Set up and close seasonal offices according to planograms, install signage, and ensure cleanliness and brand compliance.
• Install, configure, and maintain PC hardware across offices with guidance from district coordinators.
• Maintain inventory of district resources and track hot‑spare equipment.
• Document hardware issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Stay current on technical knowledge of supported products and complete required training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation for traveling between office locations.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and work independently.
• Strong decision‑making, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Suite applications.
• Basic IT knowledge, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware.
• Experience with PC hardware installation and configuration.
• Inventory management and tracking of equipment.
• Use of ticketing systems for issue documentation.
