School Site Assistant

About the role

The School Site Assistant provides essential support to Veritas School by ensuring a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for students during various daily shifts. This part‑time position works approximately 4.5 hours per day across flexible schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor school‑age children throughout the assigned shift.
• Assist with classroom transitions, lunch periods, and recess activities.
• Maintain a clean and orderly school site, including corridors and common areas.
• Support teachers and staff with logistical tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including TB clearance and fingerprinting requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
• Knowledge of, or prior experience working with, school‑age children.
• Experience supervising students in a school setting is desirable.
• Ability to obtain pre‑employment TB clearance and fingerprinting at personal cost.
