SAP BASIS Lead

About the role

The SAP Basis Lead will oversee the administration, performance tuning, and maintenance of the company’s SAP landscape. This hybrid role combines remote work with occasional onsite presence in the Philadelphia/Newtown Square area. The lead will ensure system availability and drive continuous improvement across SAP environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, PO, and Fiori environments.
• Monitor system performance, conduct tuning, and manage capacity planning.
• Lead a team of SAP Basis administrators and consultants.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and functional teams to deliver a robust SAP ecosystem.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Ensure SAP security compliance and GRC integration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, Fiori, and PI/PO.
• Strong expertise in HANA database administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP hosting SAP workloads.
• Proven track record of SAP system upgrades, migrations, and full‑lifecycle implementations.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts and GRC integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
