Roadway Engineer – Transportation Projects

About the role

CPH is seeking a Roadway Engineer to join its Transportation team in Sanford, FL. The engineer will apply civil engineering principles to design, develop, and implement solutions for complex roadway projects while ensuring they are delivered on budget, on schedule, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for roadway projects.
• Create and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and related documentation.
• Conduct analyses and tests to validate designs and confirm they meet project requirements.
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all aspects of project safety comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, design changes, and status updates.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting transportation projects.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
