Retail Team Member – Cashier & Sales Associate

About the role

Join Tractor Supply as a Team Member and be the face of the store, helping customers enjoy a legendary shopping experience. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, handling cash, merchandising, and supporting a variety of store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and follow established cash‑handling procedures.
• Assist customers with product selection, loading purchases, and providing friendly service using the GURA approach.
• Perform merchandising tasks such as plan‑ograms, product assembly, price changes, and markdowns.
• Handle freight, recover merchandise, and complete required documentation.
• Carry out janitorial duties and maintain store cleanliness.
• Operate a forklift and cardboard baler when age‑eligible.
• Sanitize poultry holding tanks and care for birds as needed.

Required profile

• Flexible availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
• No prior experience required; retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
