About the role

This 12‑week, in‑house agency assignment supports the Surgical Specialty Unit at Kings Hwy. The RN will lead patient care delivery, coordinate the nursing team, and uphold Ochsner’s standards of practice.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide appropriate education.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Analyze data and promote changes to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse.
Current RN license in the state of practice and active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required skills

Computer proficiency with software and web‑based applications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
