About the role

The Acute Neuro Unit at Ochsner Health seeks a Registered Nurse to lead patient care using the nursing process, the Nurse Practice Act, and ANA standards. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, and ensure high‑quality outcomes for a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

Apply the nursing process to deliver safe, evidence‑based patient care.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and staff.
Delegate, direct, and support licensed and ancillary team members.
Use data and clinical knowledge to drive improvements and achieve unit goals.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
No prior work experience required.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
