About the role
This temporary position supports a research‑focused organization in Washington, DC. As the first point of contact, you will manage the front desk, coordinate meetings, and provide general administrative assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors, answer phones, and maintain a welcoming reception area.
- Schedule conference rooms, arrange catering, and set up meeting spaces.
- Monitor and restock office supplies and handle mail distribution.
- Serve as liaison with building management for facilities and maintenance requests.
- Assist staff with inquiries, light IT coordination, and special projects.
Required profile
- Previous experience in reception, office support, or administrative roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact across all organizational levels.
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of $22.
- Monday‑Friday schedule, 8:45 am‑5:00 pm with a 1‑hour lunch.
- 100% onsite work in a metro‑accessible location.
- Potential extension through mid‑June.
