QA Manager

About the role

Alkira is seeking a QA Manager to lead its QA & Automation team, the gatekeeper for every product release. You will own the strategy and execution of automated testing across multiple public clouds, ensuring the platform remains reliable, scalable, and performant as customer demand grows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed QA & Automation team, setting technical direction and career development plans.
• Define and execute the overall QA strategy, covering functional, integration, regression, negative, performance, and scale testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain a Python‑based automated test framework integrated with Terraform and Jenkins CI pipelines.
• Run large‑scale scaling and performance test campaigns to validate platform limits before customer onboarding.
• Develop Terraform‑driven deployment automation for rapid, repeatable large‑customer onboarding.
• Gate releases by triaging regression failures, coordinating bug resolution with engineering, and signing off on release quality.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support release validation and test‑infrastructure availability.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a technical QA or test‑automation team.
• Hands‑on expertise in Python programming for test automation and framework development.
• Solid experience with Terraform and CI systems such as Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of public‑cloud networking constructs (VPC/VNet, routing, peering) in at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including BGP, IPsec/VPN, routing, firewall, and NAT.
• Excellent debugging and triage skills to differentiate product bugs from test‑infrastructure issues.
