Public Sector Leadership Training Manager

About the role

The Public Sector Leadership Training Manager, under general supervision, oversees training schedules, program finances, and curriculum development for TEEX’s public‑sector offerings. The role supervises a Training Coordinator and an Administrative Coordinator while ensuring high‑quality delivery of multiple fire‑service certification programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage training schedules, deliveries, and marketing strategies for public‑sector programs.
• Supervise a ¾‑time Training Coordinator, a full‑time Administrative Coordinator, and adjunct instructors.
• Coordinate joint programs with Texas A&M Mays Business School and oversee the Fire Service Chief Executive Officer Program, Fire Service Development Program, and Texas Fire Officer Program.
• Serve as subject‑matter specialist for curriculum design, quality control, and fiscal viability of training courses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent education/experience).
• Minimum five years of experience in training operations, program administration, or curriculum development.
• Valid motor‑vehicle operator’s license (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Basic Firefighter Certification and Instructor 2 Certification (Texas or equivalent).
