About the role
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Public Safety Officer to join its campus safety team. This full‑time, onsite position focuses on maintaining a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors by enforcing traffic, criminal, and parking regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol assigned campus areas to deter and detect crimes, enforce traffic laws, and identify parking violations.
- Issue citations, conduct security checks of university buildings, and report safety hazards.
- Investigate crimes, accidents, and incidents that occur on campus.
- Collaborate with campus departments and local law‑enforcement agencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification through the Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification Training program or eligibility to meet certification requirements.
