Public Relations & Communications Associate

About the role

The Windy City Bulls are looking for a motivated and organized Public Relations & Communications Associate to support all communications and PR activities for the 2026‑27 season. This role will assist in planning, creating, and executing media and digital content before and during the season, while collaborating with multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Write game notes, press releases, social media and marketing copy.
• Handle media requests for players and coaching staff, and manage digital content requests.
• Serve as liaison for local media on game days and coordinate information requests.
• Coordinate and distribute media credential requests.
• Assist in managing game‑day communications staff, including scorers, broadcasters, photographers and videographers.
• Set up scorer’s table, arrange player interviews, and publish social media posts on Windy City Bulls platforms on game days.
• Edit and maintain website content for accuracy.
• Develop and activate original social media content, working with players, coaches and fans.
• Capture and edit video and other digital media content.
• Provide fan service experiences and support senior coordinator with email and digital marketing strategies.

Required profile

• Recent college graduate with a strong interest in basketball and communication strategies.
• Positive demeanor, strong work ethic and ability to work quickly in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to assist across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with video editing software programs.
