Key responsibilities

• Assess, enforce, and enhance health and safety regulations on base and during humanitarian missions.
• Monitor and control the spread of communicable diseases.
• Develop evidence‑based public health programs and improve existing initiatives.
• Support the health readiness of defenders and contribute to community health efforts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and successful NCLEX completion.
• Current, unrestricted nursing license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active RN practice in the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Meet public‑health RN experience requirements per current RA/USAR guidance.
• U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, or I‑551 holder for Active Duty or Reserve service.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
