Propagation Technician – Cannabis Cultivation

About the role

The Propagation Technician supports the cultivation team by caring for cannabis plants during the vegetative phase. Reporting to the Propagation Supervisor and Cultivation Manager, the role ensures healthy growth, accurate labeling, and strict adherence to integrated pest management and traceability protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Mother Room plants: defoliation, bottoming, transplants, topping, and cloning.
• Organize and clean Mother and Propagation Rooms, ensuring proper plant placement and labeling.
• Perform daily clone care tasks, including burping, feeding, and monitoring root development.
• Execute quarantine procedures for new genetics to prevent pests and diseases.
• Implement cultivation practices and SOPs for plant health across all growth stages.
• Ensure inventory accuracy for strain names and tag numbers.
• Carry out integrated pest management, sanitation of tools, equipment, and production areas.
• Follow high personal hygiene standards and use appropriate PPE.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Strong observational skills for early detection of nutrient deficiencies, pests, or diseases.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, contamination‑free grow environment.
• Attention to detail in labeling, record‑keeping, and inventory tracking.
