Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager is the customer's primary point of contact and manages the full project lifecycle, from initial planning through completion of construction. The position reports to the Area Manager and the VP. It involves working with clients, architects and engineers to set project plans, budgets and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project from award to completion, monitoring schedules, work assignments, budgets and manpower expenditures.
• Attend bid meetings and job walks to understand customer requirements, scope of work and site conditions; may estimate work and prepare proposals, or work with the Estimator.
• Set up the project kickoff meeting and contract review, and define schedules, work scope and productivity metrics with field leadership.
• Execute change orders, documenting scope changes and capturing the associated costs and revenue.
• Run continual project reviews with the client, company leadership, internal staff and contractors, and keep stakeholders informed of scope changes and issues.
• Own the project KPIs, control costs so projects stay within budget, and provide progress updates.
• Ensure quality, safety and compliance with the customer contract, and oversee invoicing such as payroll and T&M sheets.

Required profile

• Preferred: 5+ years of construction management, oil and gas and/or industrial services experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• PMP or other certifications preferred but not required.
