Senior Manager, Membership Operations

About the role

Newlab is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Membership Operations for its New Orleans location. You will be responsible for overseeing the beta space and the future permanent facility, ensuring seamless functionality, safety, and an exceptional member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the beta and permanent facilities, including wet labs, light manufacturing, prototyping, and fabrication areas.
• Develop and enforce location‑specific SOPs for equipment usage, safety compliance, and maintenance.
• Manage inventory of assets and consumables across labs and shops.
• Lead community managers and associates to deliver the Newlab Membership playbook, onboarding, and programming.
• Serve as the primary on‑site contact for member issues, vendor coordination, and service contracts.
• Support construction, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing facilities, technical infrastructure, and community operations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Experience working with startups or innovation ecosystems is a plus.
