Project Manager III – Operations, Test & Evaluation

About the role

The Autonomy Research Institute at Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi seeks a Project Manager III to lead operations, test and evaluation activities for complex research projects. The role coordinates governmental and private sponsor initiatives, ensuring that testing, operational planning and execution meet strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, implement and monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones and performance standards.
• Manage multidomain operational teams across air, land, water and space environments.
• Serve as the primary interface between project stakeholders and ARI operational crews.
• Oversee resource allocation, long‑term operational planning and execution of research and test activities.
• Prepare comprehensive project plans covering budget, timelines, resources and goals.
• Assist the Project Director, OTE, and act as deputy when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex research or test projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work within contractual requirements and deliver project outcomes on schedule.
