Project Engineer III/IV – Water & Wastewater

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (III/IV) to lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide technical oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high‑quality solutions for our municipal and utility clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, and technical oversight of treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling and system analysis to optimize water distribution and sewer collection networks.
• Manage field investigations, site assessments, and construction observation, providing guidance to junior engineers.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and proposals; support overall project management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, compliant designs.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, communicating technical information clearly.
• Mentor junior staff and uphold quality control and company engineering standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering field.
• EI/EIT required; PE registration preferred or in progress.
• 4–8+ years of experience in water/wastewater design, permitting, or construction support.
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on client coordination.

• Hydraulic modeling tools (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, SWMM)
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• BIM/Revit (preferred)
• Design and analysis of pump systems and process equipment
• Utility and site layout design
