Program Manager – NIEHS Literature Review (Proposal)

About the role

Abt Global is seeking a Program Manager to lead the operational and programmatic aspects of a new scientific evidence evaluation contract. Working closely with the Principal Investigator, you will ensure the successful delivery of systematic evidence mapping, literature reviews, health hazard assessments, and technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day contract administration, ensuring compliance with performance standards and reporting obligations.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, staffing plans, risk registers, and performance metrics across multiple task orders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams of scientists, analysts, information specialists, data managers, and technical support staff.
• Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, subcontractor performance, and financial forecasts.
• Establish and oversee quality management processes, guaranteeing timely delivery and adherence to QA/QC procedures.
• Lead contract reporting activities, including status reports, dashboards, action‑item tracking, and executive briefings.
• Identify and mitigate program risks, develop corrective action plans, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Support the implementation of innovative technologies, workflow automation, AI‑enabled review processes, and knowledge‑management systems.

Required profile

• Preferred candidates located in the Raleigh‑Durham‑Chapel Hill, NC area.
• Proven experience managing scientific or technical contracts and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong ability to oversee budgets, resources, and contract profitability.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and risk‑management skills.
