Professional Services Engineer – IT Infrastructure

About the role

The Professional Services Engineer leads the design, implementation, and delivery of complex IT infrastructure projects for SymQuest clients. Acting as a technical authority, the role provides engineering expertise across networking, server, virtualization, cloud, and security technologies while supporting presales design efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver IT infrastructure projects with high quality, performance, and security standards.
• Design, implement, and troubleshoot solutions in both on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Provide presales technical consultation and solution architecture support.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and complete.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Coordinators to keep scope, schedule, and deliverables on track.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of field experience in network engineering or related roles.
• Strong experience delivering network services, including design, implementation, and support.
• Proven ability to manage priorities and work independently across multiple projects.
• Strong customer communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Network operating systems and platforms from Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Symantec.
• Enterprise hardware solutions from HP, Dell, Cisco.
• Cloud and virtualization technologies.
• Security technologies.
• Vendor certifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Cisco (preferred).
