Production Coordinator

About the role

The Production Coordinator supports day‑to‑day operations for production content, logistics, and business activities within the Andscape division of ESPN. This role acts as a central hub between production teams, ESPN departments, and external partners to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely delivery of sports and show content.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as liaison for assigned sport/show categories between Production, ESPN departments, and outside entities.
• Draft and manage third‑party licensing agreements, talent contracts, and other legal documents using approved templates.
• Gather, curate, and report production information, rights, and clearances to internal groups.
• Coordinate insurance, permits, waivers, props, wardrobe, and health‑and‑safety compliance for on‑location shoots.
• Organize, project, and track budgets for projects ranging from single features to documentary series.
• Onboard, schedule, and manage third‑party vendors in Disney’s Playbook system, including invoice submission and payment tracking.
• Facilitate drone approvals and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
• Lead team meetings, creative think tanks, and story‑pitch sessions; support recruiting and onboarding of Content Associates and Production Assistants.
• Maintain personnel schedule accounting, vacation approvals, and provide feedback to staff.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of production workflows, contractual compliance, and vendor management.
• Ability to handle time‑sensitive materials and confidential information.
• Experience coordinating logistics for on‑location shoots, including insurance and permits.
• Proven track record of budgeting, invoice processing, and financial tracking.
• Excellent communication skills to act as a bridge between internal teams and external partners.
