Product Development Specialist – Healthy Snacks

About the role

The Product Development Specialist in Nestlé Nutrition’s Technical Applications Group will support the Healthy Snacks category for infants, toddlers and older children, acting as the technical lead for innovation, renovation and optimization projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement innovation and renovation strategy for supported product categories.
• Lead product development from concept to commercialization, ensuring safety, stability and legality.
• Drive continuous improvement of existing products and processes, focusing on cost, quality and compliance.
• Lead onboarding, evaluation and qualification of raw materials and suppliers, including allergen and claim assessments.
• Provide first‑line technical support to factories and co‑manufacturing partners.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of product development experience in the CPG industry.
• Preferred experience in baking, extrusion and other low‑moisture food technologies.

Required skills

• Project management and leadership of cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency with SAP, recipe management, PLM systems, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.

• Salary range $81,375.30 – $106,190 per year.
