Principal Project Manager, Water Resources

About the role

GFT is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead the planning, design and construction of water resources infrastructure for its Water Business Group. The role is based in Miami and involves delivering high‑quality, sustainable solutions for dams, levees, treatment facilities and storm‑water systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary project teams to deliver water resources projects on schedule, within budget and to client specifications.
• Develop and maintain high‑value client relationships, create engagement strategies and drive business development.
• Oversee design standards, progress meetings, coordination with consultants and regulatory agencies.
• Manage construction contract administration, observation services and preparation of reports and permit applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff in technical and client‑service excellence.

Required profile

• B.S. in Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
• 15+ years of experience in water resources infrastructure, with a proven record of delivering large‑scale projects.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Strong business development and client‑relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience presenting to clients and agencies.
