Prevailing Wage Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Prevailing Wage Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas at Greystar’s Loden property in Brooklyn meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and complete work orders generated from resident requests.
• Diagnose defects in building systems and perform repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and applicable codes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical and technical equipment.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, and procuring necessary supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Ability to perform technical and mechanical tasks on residential properties.
• Experience interpreting work orders and following established procedures.
• Commitment to safety standards and code compliance.
