Prevailing Wage Groundskeeper/Porter at The Brook

About the role

We are looking for a Prevailing Wage Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of The Brook community in Brooklyn. The role ensures that grounds, amenities, and common areas are clean, well‑kept, and meet Greystar’s standards while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet droppings and keep all common areas and amenities tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and maintain those storage spaces.
• Complete minor and routine service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turn‑over.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents or incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license required to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
