Physician – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Inpatient)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physiatrist to join the inpatient rehabilitation team at the Northshore Rehabilitation Hospital in Lacombe, LA. The physician will provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to patients with complex conditions such as brain or spinal cord injury, cardiac disease, cancer, neurological disorders, orthopedic trauma, and stroke.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver acute and long‑term inpatient rehabilitation services, including evaluation, treatment planning, and follow‑up for a diverse patient population.
• Participate in shared call coverage (1:4) for 7‑10 days per month, remaining reachable by phone during on‑call periods.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 90 therapists, nurses, and specialists to optimize patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm schedule and share call responsibilities.
