Physical Therapist PRN – Acute Care

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join its acute care team. This temporary, as‑needed position supports patient recovery in a fast‑paced hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients admitted to acute care units.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Document patient progress and outcomes in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate care.

Required profile

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Arkansas.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Experience or interest in acute care rehabilitation.
• Ability to work flexible PRN shifts as needed.

Required skills

• Physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques.
• Proficiency with documentation systems used in hospital settings.
