Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology Night Shift

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the H7 Medical Oncology unit on the night shift. This position provides direct patient care to oncology patients during overnight hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and continuity of treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess oncology patients throughout the night, recording vital signs and clinical observations.
• Administer chemotherapy, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments according to protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans.
• Document all nursing activities accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, code situations, and patient concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment on the unit.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the United States.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Experience in medical oncology or a strong willingness to learn oncology nursing.
• Ability to work night shift hours consistently.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
