Part-Time Front Desk Agent (Candlewood Suites)

About the role

As a Front Desk Agent at Candlewood Suites, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming and memorable experience. This part‑time position involves handling check‑ins and check‑outs, managing reservations, and providing local information while ensuring a smooth, friction‑free stay.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly in person or by phone, acknowledging IHG Rewards Club members and returning visitors.
• Process reservations, upsell services, and promote enhancements to improve guest stays.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Check guests in and out efficiently, issue room keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
• Record guest preferences, respond to requests, and resolve concerns promptly.
• Provide assistance with billing issues, local recommendations, and coordinate with management when needed.
• Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear required protective gear.
• Maintain a professional appearance as a brand ambassador and support colleagues with ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• At least one year of experience in a front‑desk or guest‑service role.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg).

Required skills

• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with standard office software.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
