Part-Time Food Service Worker – Healthcare Facility

About the role

Join Morrison Healthcare as a part‑time Food Service Worker at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital. You will help nourish patients, caregivers, and staff by preparing and serving high‑quality meals in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and serve food according to approved recipes and portion standards.
• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Store food following wrapping, dating, rotation, and safety procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain sanitation standards.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Serve customers courteously and resolve any concerns, reporting to a supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with service standards, inventory and cash control procedures, and all sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of food and nutrition experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to work a flexible part‑time schedule.
• Commitment to follow food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
