Part-time Continuing Education English Instructor

About the role

Join Gwinnett Technical College as a part-time Continuing Education Instructor teaching English as a Second Language. You will deliver non-credit courses to adult learners, evaluate their progress, and contribute to a supportive, culturally diverse classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans for non-credit ESL courses.
• Assess and document student progress toward learning objectives.
• Maintain required administrative reports and documentation.
• Participate in in-service training, workshops, and ensure classroom safety.

Required profile

• Prior teaching or training experience, preferably with adult or K-12 learners.
• Background in English education and cross-cultural or second-language acquisition.
• Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and cultures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for fostering a student‑centered learning environment.
