About the role
Keller Postman is seeking a Paralegal I to support its plaintiffs‑side litigation practice. The role involves handling complex tasks across all phases of federal and state litigation, from pleadings to appeals, in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support for pleadings, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Prepare, format, file, and organize legal documents using Microsoft Word, CM/ECF, and firm case‑management systems.
- Conduct basic factual and legal research with Westlaw and other resources for attorney review.
- Perform cite‑checking for Bluebook compliance, Shepardizing authorities, and verifying quoted material.
- Maintain case files, calendars, deadlines, and document tracking.
- Communicate professionally with courts, counsel, clients, experts, and vendors.
Required profile
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a high‑pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Effective time‑management and adaptability to shifting priorities.
- Basic understanding of federal and state court rules or willingness to learn.
- Commitment to confidentiality and sound judgment.
