Outpatient Occupational Therapist – Therapy & Wellness

About the role

Join Ochsner Health as an Outpatient Occupational Therapist delivering therapy and wellness services in Hammond. You will work autonomously to evaluate patients, develop and adjust treatment plans, and monitor progress toward goals while ensuring high-quality patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and create individualized occupational therapy programs.
• Assess patient response to treatment and modify plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with documentation standards.
• Achieve productivity targets related to access to care, patient experience, and quality metrics.
• Assist in developing and enhancing programs to meet community needs.
• Adapt communication and service delivery to respect patient privacy and preferences.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current occupational therapy license in the state of practice (or eligibility for licensure).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning expertise.
