About the role
The Online Learning Program Manager leads the design, development, modernization, and continuous improvement of the Criminal Justice Institute’s online, blended, and technology‑enhanced education and training programs. Acting as the lead instructional designer, the role manages projects, supervises staff, modernizes digital content, and evaluates emerging learning technologies, including responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop high‑quality online and blended courses for law‑enforcement professionals.
- Oversee program and project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Supervise assigned instructional staff and coordinate cross‑functional collaboration.
- Modernize existing digital content to improve accessibility and learner engagement.
- Assess and integrate emerging learning technologies and AI tools.
- Identify opportunities to enhance instructional effectiveness and streamline processes.
Required profile
- Proven experience in instructional design and online learning program management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and blended learning models.
- Experience working in higher‑education or professional training environments, preferably with law‑enforcement audiences.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with subject‑matter experts.
